Half a year....Half a lifetime

Our sixth month anniversary is today. Yep. We are 6 months into the rest of our LIVES. If you know what I mean.

In that time we have experienced, in no particular order.... our First marriage (and of course ONLY ;), first apartment together, first time roadtripping together, first time buying a car together, Dave's first married birthday, First time watching the girls cheer for the same team, first time watching the boys win their Superbowl on the same team, first time joining our bank accounts, first BYU vs. TCU game, first time buying and an Xbox Kinect, first time enjoying thanksgiving MARRIED, and first Christmas together. I'm sure you get the idea.

To say the least, it has been probably the best six months of our lives. And yes, I can speak for "us" because that's what wives do....or so they say.

Obviously there is WAY too much to tell....so i'll just sum it up with the most recent, and of course best holiday of our marriage (other than marriage itself) .....Christmas :)

Our Christmas was great. We spent it here in Texas, in our own apartment. That may just be the first and last time for a while I'd imagine. It was pretty fun starting our own traditions. Luckily we have some great friends in the ward who invited us over for a Wonderful Christmas dinner a couple of days before, and we enjoyed our Christmas Eve eating homemade scones Rick made. It was nice to have Dave's Brother's family stay home as well, so On Christmas day, after we slept in and opened our gifts, we went to see all their loot and spend the rest of the day with them.

We are going to Kansas City on Wednesday, to see Grandma Smith and Bill & Sandy. My g-ma has not had the pleasure to meet Dave yet, so since my parents are going to be there this week as well, we are jumping on the opportunity to join.

We expect to have a great time in MO, celebrating my birthday, ringing in the new year, and of course exchanging our late Christmas gifts. Then back to Texas for the lame-o shmame-o part of winter.

This past week + next week = Awesome.

After that...we won't talk about.

Postscript.....because I know most people read blogs for the pictures, as always, here are a few pics from throughout the months.....

Christmas morning....at the crack of 8:30 hehe

'Polar Express' night with the Edwards. Theme: BELIEVE. It was probably the most creative Christmas dinner I've had :) We even all had tickets with our names on them. (I stole this picture from you, thanks Brenda! :)

Dave turns the big 2-8.

Halloween.We were twins....naturally ;)

The girls took 3rd in their Cheer-off. Also a first ;)

The boys got to play a football game at the SMU stadium. So Dave and I ventured on the Dart downtown to see them play.
